Practitioner Frequently asked questions:

What is involved in donation?

The typical donation process requires a consent and a medical social questionnaire that is performed by trained Amnigift staff members and verified electronically. The facility will draw blood (red and purple top) prior or after birth and within 7 days. The facility will collect the birth tissue in provided kits and notify a Amnigift team member. The facility will provide medical records with the birth tissue.

Does this limit the mom's birth plan?

Birth tissue donation does not limit delayed clamping, water births, or any other plans the mom might have. Vaginal and C-section birth can donate birth tissue.

How much does it cost? time involved?

It does not cost anything for the mom to donate her tissue. The typical facility time is less than an hour. Our team members work and handle as much as possible before and after delivery.

Do you offer cord blood services?

Unfortunately, we don't offer cord blood services. However, we do work with some great partners which might be helpful.

How can I contact you and work with you?

You can reach us by email. Once we set up your facility and sign an agreement, phone contacts, FDA registrations, insurance, medical director information, and supplies will be provided.
